Sri Lanka declares innings at 428 runs on 2nd day
SHARJAH: Sri Lankan team after batting aggressively on the 2nd day of Sharjah Test, declared innings at a total of 428 runs with its 9 players out – ARY News reports.
According to details, Sri Lanka resumed 2nd days's play at 220 runs with its 5 players returned to pavilion. Pakistan achieved Jayawardene's wicket who could score only 35 runs.
However, Pakistani bowlers remained unsuccessful in achieving wickets speedily during the second session too and the Sri Lankan innings was declared at a score of 428 runs.
Debut player, Parera scored 95 runs, whilst Mathews made 91.
By the end of the day, Pakistan had scored 19 runs without any loss of wickets and it further requires 409 runs to overcome the Sri Lanka's lead.
