NEW DELHI: The current political turmoil between India and Pakistan has sent makers of Shahrukh Khan-starrer Raees in a fix and they’re finding it difficult to shoot crucial scenes and sequences that require Mahira.
The gorgeous Pakistani actress, alongside other fellow actors, has already left India after threats from radical Hindu political outfits in the wake of tense relations between the two countries, said a report on the Times of India.
According to the report, the Raees makers are in a fix and finding it difficult to shoot crucial scenes and song sequences that require Mahira. The most crucial opening sequence, which was initially supposed to be shot with SRK and Mahira together, will now be shot with SRK alone, the bigger problem lies in shooting song sequences which cannot be shot without Mahira.
Hence, the makers will now have to shoot the song and dance sequences with SRK and Mahira at a foreign location because there is no way they will be allowed to shoot with a Pakistani actor in India, at least in the near future, added the report.
Recently an Indian news website reported that the makers of Raees had decided to include Sunny Leone when the crew felt the need of a raunchy track in the flick.
Raees stars Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The plot of the film circles around a bootlegger who is being chased by a police officer.
The film is being directed by Rahul Dholakia and is set to be released on 26th January 2017.
