RAWALPINDI: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday said he still did not want any confrontation with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, ARY News reported.

“I still do not want confrontation with Nawaz Sharif, however he does not have any regard for his own respect. I can no longer tolerate one-sided criticism. Nawaz is now using pawns for blame games against me,” he said in a response to the former premier’s statement against him.

He said those lying for concealing their misconducts would become an exemplary lesson. He said Nawaz’s effort to portray himself as clean-handed turned abortive.

Chaudhry Nisar said he was hopeful for his victory on July 25. “A lot of work has yet to be done for development of the country,” he added.

Earlier in a statement, he said that he and some other elders deserved credit for making Nawaz Sharif a leader.
