RIO DE JANEIRO: Pakistan continued its domination in the Street Child World Cup (SCWC) on Friday when it defeated Philippines on penalties to qualify for the semi-finals, ARY News reported.
Both the sides reached 1-1, pushing the game to go to penalties. Pakistani boys lived up to their brilliance and converted three of their kicks into goals. Philippines could only score two of their penalties.
Previously, Pakistan team had beaten Kenya 2-0 in their second match of the tournament.
A total 20 teams are featuring in the SCWC. The event is aimed at providing identity to street children across the world.
