Street crimes still a challenge, says AIG Karachi

Mushtaq Mehar, speaking to media during the launching of an emergency response center and the installation of CCTV cameras provided by a non-government organization at Punjab Chowrangi in Karachi, said that street crimes still are a challenge and Karachi Police is taking all steps to control it.

He added that there are 35 locations in Karachi where large number of street crimes take place during the rush hours. He added that the law enforcement authorities have managed to overcome serious criminal activities in the metropolis.

He added that CCTV cameras have been connected with command and control center of Karachi Police which help the law enforcers to investigate the crimes.

AIG Karachi said that the police force is trying hard to not traffic jams take place and street lights to remain on. He added that steps are being taken for recovery of stolen mobile phones and its return to their owners.
