A student has surprisingly received full marks for writing only 19-world film review by her teacher, however, the grade came with a warning.
Allison Garret was given a perfect grade for writing an essay over 1999 cult classic Fight Club, which stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter, Mirror reported.
When the student was asked by her teacher to write a film review she says she saw a cheeky “opportunity”.
The film tells the story of an underground fight club, with the strict rule: “The first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club.”
This quote became the most famous from the movie, and Allison decided to see if she could use it to her advantage.
Her essay simply says: “The first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club. “That’s it. That’s the essay.”
It was a huge risk but it paid off – and she was given full marks for the piece.
She shared a photo of her work on Twitter, with the caption: “The assignment description for essay 5 was to write a review on a movie that we had seen. the opportunity arose, and i took my chances..”
However, her teacher did send her a warning when she sent it back.
They said: “I struggled over this grade for a long time. I finally decided you get a grade for a laugh and how relevant your review is for this particular movie.
“Let me warn you: do NOT try this kind of thing with other professors; they may not have my sense of humour.
“Score – 100/100.”
Allison later wrote: “I honestly cannot say that I regret my decision!”
People loved her bold idea and her tweet has been shared and liked thousands of times.
One admirer wrote: “This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Another added: “They should just go ahead and let you graduate on that note 100%.”
One student commented: “I need a professor like that.”
Others were debating copying her idea.
One wrote: “I have a 10 page paper about a movie due & I’m contemplating this now.”
