Students witness arms display, interact with soldiers in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A group of 400 students and faculty members from various educational institutions of the garrison city spent a day, witnessing display of arms and interacting with the officers and soldiers of Pakistan Army.

The programme was specifically organized by the Rawalpindi Corps to enlighten students about functioning of Pakistan Army, its organization and defence capability, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The visitors laid wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs. They witnessed combat worthiness of troops through combat riding, unarmed combat and rappelling from helicopter. The students were shown various military equipment and acquired know-how of using small arms.

The military’s media wing said the students applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of Pakistan Army and expressed their gratitude for being provided an opportunity to interact with soldiers.
