Substandard meat seized from Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority on Wednesday seized 20 maund substandard meat from Lahore’s Township area, ARY News reported.

A team of the food authority headed by its director Ayesha Mumtaz raided the area from where unhygienic meat was being supplied to different parts of the city.

Police and officials from the livestock department arrived at the scene after being summoned by the director of the food authority and arrested two persons in the process.

The meat was being prepared in an illegal slaughter house.
