SUKKUR: A SHO was killed during an exchange of fire with robbers in Sukkur district of Sindh province on Monday, ARY News reported.
According to details, armed robbers opened fire at the law enforcement agencies as they were on patrol at Link Road.
SHO Bagirji was critically injured in the gunfight and was rushed to Civil Hospital Sukkur for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The robbers managed to escape from the scene.
A search operation was launched in the area following the exchange of fire whereas several people were taken into custody for interrogation.
SSP Amjad Ali Sheikh confirmed the killing of SHO and said that an operation was launched in Katchha area of Indus River for the arrest of the attackers.
