KARACHI: The Sindh education department has re-scheduled the summer vacations for the public and private educational institutions, now starting from 1st Ramazan, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
According to the notification issued by the education department, the summer break will commence from 1st Ramazan and will continue till July 31st.
The decision to re-schedule the vacations has been taken in the wake of soaring temperatures and the advent of the holy month of Ramazan, officials said.
Earlier, the government’s decision to announce two-month long summer vacations from June 1st to July 31 did not go down well with some parents who had wanted the government to announce the vacations keeping the fasting month of Ramazan in mind.
