LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi termed PCB’s support for Big Three proposal, a beneficial move for Pakistan’s cricket as it will bag Rs 30 billion to Pakistan, ARY News reported.
While addressing a press conference at Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Friday, Najam Sethi said the reason for extending support in favor of Big Three is to save Pakistan’s cricket from isolation.
“It was our bad luck that we left isolated but now everything is alright as we have signed agreements for bilateral series with all members’ countries in the coming 8-years.”
Chairman PCB informed that some boards cancelling their tours had denied playing against Pakistan. “But after signing the deal Rs.30 billion revenue would be generated for Pakistan”, Sethi added.
He said that Pakistan would nominate the ICC President next year.
Speaking about banned cricket Mohammad Amir, Najam Sethi said that talks are underway with ICC over the matter and PCB is expecting to get 1 year relief in his ban.
