Supreme Court de-seats PML-N MNA for hiding asset details

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday de-seated Pakistan Muslim League (NAWAZ) member National Assembly Iftikhar Cheema who was elected from NA-101 Gujranwala, ARY News reported.

The court issued the verdict in a case against MNA concealing his asset details.

The apex court has ordered reelection in the constituency.

PML-N candidate Justice (r) Iftikhar Ahmed Cheema had won from NA-101 in May 13, 2013 general elections by bagging 99,191 votes while his opponent Ahmed Chattha of ML-J, son of Hamid Nasir Chattha managed to get 59,878 votes.
