Baker shot dead after resisting robbery in Lahore

LAHORE: A bakery worker was shot dead on Thursday after resisting a robbery attempt in Green Town area of Lahore, ARY News reported. The incident took place after suspects attempted to rob the bakery, but received resistance from the manager and the security guards. As a result the robbers opened fire killing bakery manager Abid on the spot. Police reached the site of the incident and shifted the body to a morgue, and started further investigation.

Six Pakistani abuctees freed in Turkey

ISTANBUL/ISLAMABAD: Turkish police on Wednesday recovered six Pakistani abductees from the custody of local kidnappers, Pakistan's Foreign Office and Turkish police authorities have confirmed. The abducted Pakistanis who have been rescued include Fazal Amin, Adil Ahmad Muhammad Zeeshan, Abid, Usman Ali and Ashbar Ahmad. Abid calls for imposition of Article-6 on Imran
