Foreign minister calls for addressing root causes of plight of Rohingya Muslims

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday emphasized on the need to eliminate the root causes of the Rohingya crisis. He said this while talking to Secretary General Amnesty International Salil Shetty, who called on him in New York on Sunday. The Foreign Minister apprised Shetty of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts, including provision of humanitarian assistance and constructive engagement with regional partners to address the plight of Rohingya people.
