Rain breaks heat spell in Islamabad, adjoining areas

Met department has forecasted more rains in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtonkhwa, lower Sindh and Kashmir between Wednesday and Thursday. Weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country, however Rawalpindi, Hazara and Kashmir received light to moderate rains. Mangla had the maximum rain with 16 millimeters. The highest temperature of 40 degree Celsius was recorded in Thal Sibbi and Bhakkar.

Police survey adjoining localities of Peshawar airport

PESHAWAR: Police on Monday said a survey of adjoining localities of Peshawar airport was being conducted after the terrorist attack on aircraft the other day, ARY News reported on Monday. The survey is being conducted following a firing incident on aircraft that killed a woman passenger when the plane was landed at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar a week ago.
