Pakistan is a peaceful and sovereign country and desirous of having good relations with all its neighbors, the president said.
Terming ineffective policies and mismanagement root causes of water scarcity in the country, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that Pakistan had been blessed with plenty of surface and sub-surface water resources.
Arif Alvi offered Fateha for the departed souls and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
The president said "his prayers go for the victims. May their souls rest in peace."
Arif Alvi also welcomed Uzbek initiatives for regional peace and security, especially for the reconciliation efforts in Afghanistan.
