Arzoo Fatima case
The court, after granting time to the state counsel, adjourned the further hearing of the case till December 1.
The parents of the girl had complained that Arzoo Raza alias Arzoo Fatima, was abducted and forced to convert and marry to Ali Azhar.
"The police conducted raids in search of the lawyer who presented independency certificate to the Nikahkhwan but he is absconding," investigation officer said.
Arzoo Fatima, a Christian girl, was allegedly abducted and forced to convert and marry to a Muslim man Ali Azhar 44.
A five-member medical board was constituted by the court in previous hearing of the case to determine the girl's age, which was claimed to be converted and had married of her own free will.
The girl repeated her statement in the court that she was 18 years of age. "According to documents your age is lesser of what you claims," the bench remarked.
