Austerity drive

Imran Khan has fulfilled his promises for adopting austerity measures after making a record cut in PM House's expenses by 68 per cent.

As part of its austerity drive, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government has decided to abolish the discretionary powers of the president and the prime minister of holding camp offices.

He said that former minister for finance Asad Umar had given positive suggestions on the federal budget and added that the government would implement them.

Criticizing the leadership of PML-N, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said current inflation was the result of corruption and bad governance of previous governments.

According to a statement, the fifth phase of auction of the 42 remaining government vehicles will be conducted by Model Customs Collectorate, Islamabad on November, 15, (Thursday) at 11:00 am at Islamabad Dryport. ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Communication has decided to auction off its vehicles as a part of Prime Minister Imran Khan's austerity drive. In the first phase starting in Islamabad today, 76 vehicles of National Highway Authority (NHA) will be auctioned off. In the next phase, the vehicles will be auctioned in Karachi and Quetta.
