Over 500 websites blocked for containing objectionable content: Yousuf

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousuf on Thursday said that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) should be given clearance to block websites containing blasphemous contents. “The ministry received 8,670 letters as complaints against the appearance of blasphemous contents on the social media,” he said while addressing a news conference in Islamabad.
