The CII in its two-day session has backed the National Assembly resolution against blasphemous content on the social media and has demanded ban on sacrilegious content on social media, he said.
Qibla Ayaz said that the CII has received lunar calendar from the science ministry and research department of the council working on the matter.
The CII chairman backed the proposal of the Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry about preparation of a lunar calendar adding that the scholars, however, suggest that sighting the moon with naked eye is compulsory according to the religious teachings.
