Dr Tahir ul Qadri

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was born on the 19th of February in 1951 in the Jhang district of Pakistan. His father Dr Farid-ud-Din Qadri was a very skilled doctor in the medical field, an excellent religious scholar, an exceptionally articulate poet and speaker and last but not least a very great spiritual leader and saint of his time.

He was greatly respected amongst family members as well as members of the community. His father’s income meant that they had enough money to lead a comfortable life but not a life of luxury as his father also financially supported many poor people. Dr. Farid-ud-Din was an exceptionally eloquent speaker and he specially inclined towards mysticism and spirituality.

Dr Tahir ul Qadri received his spiritual orientation from Naqib-ul-Ashraf Ibrahim Sayf-ud-Din Jilani of Baghdad. He imbibed knowledge from Faqih-i-Azam Mawlana Muhammad Yusuf Siyalkoti, Muhaddith al-Azam Mawlana Sadar Ahmad al-Muhaddith Lylpuri and Mawlana Sayyid Ahmad Qadri.

Model Town incident: LHC turns down request to implicate Sharifs

LAHORE: A larger bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday turned down a petition by the Minhajul Quran seeking to nominate the Sharif brothers and others as accused in the Model Town incident case. TORONTO: Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir ul Qadri on Monday shifted to Toronto Hospital for medical examination after reportedly falling ill, ARY News reported.
