PFA destroys 700,000 rotten eggs in Lahore

LAHORE: As many as 700,000 rotten eggs were disposed off by the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) at Solid Waste Dumping Site in Lakhodair area of Lahore, ARY News reported. More than 4 million eggs recalled in Poland

WARSAW: Poland's veterinary service on Friday recalled some 4.3 million eggs contaminated with an antibiotic, just days after Dutch eggs were pulled from supermarket shelves in Germany.  Officials ordered the eggs, on sale in the domestic market, to be removed following an inspection. An egg a day helps lower risk of heart disease

A Chinese study suggests that people who eat an egg just about every day may have a lower risk of heart attack and stroke than individuals who don’t eat eggs at all. Researchers examined survey data on egg consumption among 461,213 adults who were 51 years old on average. When they joined the study, none had a history of heart disease. INDIANA: A farm in Indiana is recalling more than 200 million eggs sold in nine states over possible salmonella contamination. Rose Acre Farms voluntarily recalled 206,749,248 eggs due to potential contamination with Salmonella Braenderup, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said in a statement.
