Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme
'Thus far, more Rs145 billion have been distributed'
The country’s biggest relief programme has so far provided monetary support to 12 million people, said Sania Nishtar.
PM formally launched the Ehsaas Emergency Cash program for the jobless workers during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
On May 2, PM Khan inaugurated the Ehsaas Labor Portal, which enables Covid-19 affectees who lost their livelihood and jobs to seek Ehsaas Emergency Cash aid from the government.
The international financial institution suggested if the fiscal space allows the government, the emergency cash transfers should be considered as an optimal option to rejuvenate local economies.
