NORTH CALORINA: A man celebrating his birthday in a Facebook Live stream ‘accidentally’ filmed the moment he was shot dead on a street in North Calorina. The victim, who was identified by authorities as Prentis Robinson, musician by profession, was using a selfie stick to record himself as he made his way down a road in Wingate, North Carolina on Monday. Facebook to add 3,000 workers to fight streaming of live violence

SAN FRANCISCO: Facebook will add 3,000 people over the next year to monitor reports of inappropriate material on the social media network and removing videos such as murders and suicides, Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said on Wednesday. Four charged with hate crimes over Chicago beating shown live on Facebook

CHICAGO: Four African-Americans accused of attacking an 18-year-old man with special needs while making anti-white racial taunts and broadcasting the assault on Facebook were charged with hate crimes in Illinois on Thursday. Jordan Hill, Tesfaye Cooper, and sisters Brittany and Tanishia Covington were each charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
