Family court cancels Meera’s Nikkah on basis of Khula

LAHORE: Dismissing a jactitation of marriage suit, a family court of Lahore on Monday canceled film actress Meera's Nikkah (marriage contract) with Atiq-ur-Rehman on the basis of Khula. Family Court Judge Babar Nadeem passed these orders declaring that the marriage suit was based on a lie. Court requested to restrain Meera from getting married

LAHORE: Atiq-ur-Rehman, who claims to be the husband of film star Meera, has requested a family court to restrain her from getting married. The actor is currently locked in a legal wrangle with her alleged former husband who she claims was blackmailing her through a fake marriage certificate. Meera had earlier approached a family court in Lahore, requesting it to declare the marriage certificate as false.
