Terror bid foiled: FC unearths 21 landmines during operation

RAWALPINDI: Foiling a major terrorism bid in Balochistan, Frontier Corps on Monday recovered 21 landmines in Zhob area, ARY News reported. Media wing of Pakistan armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the explosive mines were recovered during an operation in Qamar Din area of Zhob. NORTH WAZIRISTAN: At least three personnel of the Frontier Corps were killed when a landmine went off in North Waziristan near Pak-Afghan border on Sunday. According to security sources, the landmine planted in Ghulam Khan tehsil of the tribal agency exploded when the vehicle of the personnel ran over it. As a result, three personnel were killed.
