Sindh governor meets CJP, donates over Rs673 million to dams fund

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail called on Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar in Islamabad on Tuesday to present a cheque amounting to Rs673.791 million as donation for the dams’ fund.  The amount was collected by the Sindh Governor during fundraising dinner held at Governor’s House in Karachi. ISLAMABAD: The fund dedicated for the construction of Diamir Bhasha and Mohmand dams has received lukewarm response from the expatriate Pakistanis as they sent only Rs 6.92 million to the Fund out of total collection of Rs 861 million. ISLAMABAD: The fund, opened following court orders for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dams, has so far received over Rs 839.88 million from various individuals and groups.
