Ian McKellen, who played the wizard Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings movies, said he was euphoric after receiving his first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine
Amazon has recently acquired the global television rights to "The Lord of the Rings," based on the celebrated fantasy novels by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The movie trilogy which earned almost $3 billion worldwide and scooped 17 Oscars had an A-list cast including Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler, Orlando Bloom and Ian McKellen.
The casting for the TV series adaption may be far away even for consideration for Amazon Prime. However, Sir Ian McKellen is not ready to give up his iconic role of Gandalf just yet.
