Qatari pilgrims prevented from entering Grand Mosque in Makkah

DOHA: Saudi Arabia has reportedly prevented Qatari nationals from entering the Grand Mosque in Makkah marking a sharp escalation in the Gulf diplomatic crisis, Doha-based Al Sharq newspaper reported on Saturday. Qatar's National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) received complaints that pilgrims from Qatar were barred from entering the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. RIYADH: A Saudi appeals court has ordered about a dozen people accused of negligence in a deadly 2015 crane collapse at Islam's holiest site to stand trial again, newspapers reported on Wednesday.
