The SIDCL has approved a tender, allowing the purchase of 80 buses for the city, to be run on the BRT Green Line project.

The tendering process will complete within three months and the successful bidder will import 80 buses within six to eight months, sources said.
The governor was briefed over the progress on green line bus project and provision of fire tenders for Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
The BRT Green Line project with intersections is 24 km long which includes 12.7 km elevated, 10.9 km at grade, and 422 meters underground and has 25 stations.
'It may take a year to purchase buses for the project'
