Imran Ismail is one of the founding members of ‘Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf’. He worked day in and day out for Shaukat Khanum as well, and has been active with Imran Khan since those days. Born and bred in Karachi, Imran Ismail is the former President of ‘Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf’ for the province of Sind. His father, Abdullah Ismail, was blessed with this boy on the 1st of January 1966 who grew up well and today stands tall as a responsible member of the Pakistani civil society.
Imran Ismail did his matriculation from Cantt Public School in Karachi and then joined Government Commerce College for his Intermediate. After that he moved to Italy for his Bachelors in Leather Technology. Leather was one of the first manufactured materials on the face of this earth, and the Leather Technologist can claim to be a member of an ancient profession.
The output and quality of leather has steadily increased and improved for at least the last 3,000 years, and for the last 100 years or so Italy has been a pioneer in the field of formal education and training in Leather Technology.
On 6 August 2018, he was named by Imran Khan as Governor of Sindh. On 11 August 2018, he was formally nominated by PTI for the same office. On 13 August 2018, he took oath as member of the Sindh Assembly. The same day, he reaffirmed the PTI’s commitment to demolish the security walls around Karachi’s Bilawal House. On 23 August 2018, he was appointed as Governor of Sindh.
