WASHINGTON: When the Masjid Al-Kareem mosque in Providence, Rhode Island, received a threatening letter in November disrespecting and abusing Muslims, its members were frightened enough they asked for and got extra police protection. Gas tariff increased up to 14%

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has increased the gas tariff up to 14 percent, ARY News reported Friday. According to Ogra, the latest increase in gas tariff is made on recommendations of the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL). Approval has been given for increase of Rs58.29 per mmbtu (million British thermal unit) or about 14 per cent average increase in its prescribed price for SNGPL, to Rs464.94 per mmbtu.
