Russia banned from 2018 Winter Olympics

GENEVA: Russia was banned from the 2018 Winter Games by the International Olympic Committee over its state-orchestrated doping programme, but clean Russian athletes will be allowed to compete under an Olympic flag. IOC considering cost-saving Tokyo 2020 venues

TOKYO: The International Olympic Committee has refused to rule out the option of moving Tokyo 2020 Games venues to other Japanese cities in a bid to slash rocketing costs.
