Police issue driving license to transgender person in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Monday issued driving licence to a transgender person after conducting all driving tests. Ali Layla became the first transgender person in the federal capital who has been issued a driving license. CDA officer goes missing from Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Ayaz Khan, an officer of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), has mysteriously gone missing from the federal capital Islamabad, the police said on Friday. ISLAMABAD: Following reports of closure of Netherlands’ Embassy in Pakistan, the spokesperson of the embassy issued a statement saying only visa service was halted for the time being. ISLAMABAD: Mobile phone services were partially restored in different parts of Islamabad and Lahore on Friday evening. As part of security measures, the government had decided to suspend mobile phone services in four cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala.
