CHARSADDA: At least five people were killed while three others injured in firing during a jirga in a Battagram neighbourhood on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
Police said the firing incident took place during the jirga in Batgiram. The deceased and the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
The culprits managed to flee the crime scene, a police official said, adding that search operation has been launched to arrest them.
The identities of those killed in the incident couldn’t be ascertained immediately.
