Kartarpur Corridor

Kartarpur corridor is an an border between the two countries (Pakistan, India). This corridor includes the Shrines of Dera Baba nanak Sahib in the Punjab province of India and the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. All the followers of Nanak Sahib travel all the way from india to Pakistan to visit the Gurdwara Darbar of Nanak Sahib.

Baba Nanak Sahib was the founder of Sikhism and the first fresco of Guru Nanak. Previously due to the political conditions of both the countries Sikh community of both sides have to suffer a lot to pay visit to their founder holy & birth places. With the plan introduced by the Current Government of Pakistan to provide ease to Nank Sahib Pilgrimage and show a gesture of peace to the neighbor country “kartarpur corridor” has been introduced.

The border corridor will include II phases. First phase will be comprised of the main corridor up to zero point, offices, washrooms, langar-halls, parking area, executive block and other executive offices. Phase I is scheduled to be complete till the end of year 2019. Whereas the second phase will include the accommodation halls with 7 star hotels and malls which will be scheduled to be complete till 2022.
