Kotri city located at the right bank of Indus river of Jamshoro district it is the 29th largest city of Pakistan. due to its geographical location the city plays an important role in the agriculture and power sector of the province.
The city has a 4.5 miles long barrage which is also known as Koti Barrage controls the flood water of Indus and also generates hydroelectricity. The barrage is also used for irrigation system of the region Kotri is famous for producing Cotton, Wheat and Rice.
Tomb of Sakhi is also located in the city. The city is also one of the oldest civilization on the earth, during the alexander times the city was established at the shore of River Indus which was the largest trade port of its time.
