Indian Army plans to use camels for patrolling along China border

CHANDIGARH: The Indian Army is planning to introduce camels as part of overall measures to check intrusion along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), in Ladakh. LAC is a 4,057-km porous border running through glaciers, snow deserts, mountains and rivers separate India and China The army plans to use both double-humped (Bactrian) and single-humped camels for patrolling, according to report by the TOI.
