ATC acquits 11 terror suspects due to lack of evidence

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) here on Thursday discharged 11 suspected terrorists allegedly affiliated with banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi owing to lack of evidence. The ATC judge acquitted the suspects from as many as 12 charges of planning a terror plot in the city, possessing explosive material, weapons and ammunition. Four die, one injured in car ambush near Mastung

QUETTA: A car was ambushed by unidentified assailants near Mastung district of restive Balochistan province leaving at least four people dead including a woman and one person injured when it was en route to Karachi from Quetta on Wednesday morning, ARY News reported. SUKKUR: A terrorist who was killed by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) during snap checking at a check post near Sukkur on Sunday night, has been identified Kamran Bhatti, ARY News reported. RAWALPINDI: Security forces arrested over 150 persons in combing operations across the country, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
