The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Cabinet has approved the merger of Levies and Khasadar Forces in the regular police force.
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has directed for merger of Levies and Khasadar Law Enforcement institutes.
“Nobody will be left unemployed,” Ajmal Wazir said.
The ordinances pertain to the legal status of the two forces.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor on Monday signed two separate ordinances granting special policing powers to Levies and Khasadar force in the newly merged tribal districts.
According to an official statement in Peshawar, the salary of constable in Levies and Khasadar Force will be enhanced to Rs20,000 per month.

SIBI: A levies man was killed on Saturday morning in an armed attack on a check post in a neighbourhood of Sibi district in Balochistan province, ARY News reported. Security officials said unknown assailants opened fire at the check post near Sibi’s Mill Chowk area and fled the scene.
