ECC consents hike in gas tariff, curtails import tax on LPG

ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Monday approved the hike in gas tariff while reducing the import tax on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Two rickshaws burnt to protest rise in LPG prices

LAHORE: Rickshaw drivers on Tuesday protested against the increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices by burning their rickshaws. The Awami Rickshaw Union set alight two rickshaws in protest including one at Bund Road and another at Thokar Niaz Baig Road. They announced that the movement will continue until their demands are not fulfilled. Petroleum production increased by 12.98 percent- PBS report

ISLAMABAD: Increase in production of petroleum products is observed by 12.98 percent during the first ten months (July-April) of the current fiscal year as compared to the consistent period of the last year. ECC approves to replace four LPG air mix projects

ISLAMABAD: Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi approved to replace four Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) air mix projects.  The decision was made keeping in view road access, availability of land and safety and security issues. ISLAMABAD:PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said the government is committed to socio-economic uplift of Gilgit-Baltistan. OGRA increases price of LPG

ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday increased price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) at the rate of ten rupees per domestic cylinder. According to details, the new prices for an 11.8 kilogram domestic cylinder will be 910 rupees and one kilogram of LPG will be sold at 77.12 rupees. Producer prices of the LPG will be 45276 rupees per metric ton, while consumer prices will be 77220 rupees for one metric ton.

Gas explosion kills man in Quetta

QUETTA: An elderly man killed in an explosion due to gas leakage inside a house at Quetta's Sabzal Road, ARY News reported. The blast took place when the 70-year old man lit a match to turn the heater of his house on. The gas explosion killed the man on the spot whereas another person was severely injured in the incident.
