Qibla Ayaz said that the CII has received lunar calendar from the science ministry and research department of the council working on the matter.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that as per the ministry's lunar calendar Shawwal moon likely to be sighted on June 4 and Eidul Fitr would fall on June 5 in the country.
The CII will review the lunar calendar and will decide whether the evidence about sighting the moon with naked eye is only acceptable or sighting the crescent with equipment is also acceptable under the Islamic law.
Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said ulema would be consulted if the government would have to dissolve Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Speaking at a gathering in Karachi science minister Fawad Chaudhry said that an app will also be introduced that would help to determine the sighting of moon.
