John Murray, former England wicket-keeper, passes away

John Murray, the former England and Middlesex wicket-keeper batsman passed away on Tuesday at the age of 83. Murray watched Middlesex beat Warwickshire at Lord’s in a County Championship match on Tuesday, but fell ill thereafter. He died later that evening. Tendulkar with English county Middlesex launch cricket academy

LONDON: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar announced an association with English county Middlesex to launch an academy to teach young girls and boys about the sport. The children aged between nine and 14 will be put through a comprehensive cricket curriculum at the "Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy" (TMGA). LONDON: Police evacuated The Oval cricket ground in London on Thursday after a bizarre arrow attack halted play in the match between Surrey and Middlesex. The arrow, reported to have a metal tip, landed near the Surrey fielder Ollie Pope and close to the pitch during the County Championship fixture.
