The religious affairs ministry announced the partial lifting of Covid-19 precautionary measures from mosques across the Kingdom
The directives issued by the Sindh home department impose new restrictions in a bid to curb the coronavirus which will be made effective from May 16.
The new set of orders stated that the markets and other trade activities will be closed till 6:00 pm, whereas, the business centres across the province will be completely closed on Saturday and Sunday.
The minister called on PM Imran Khan in Islamabad.

A proposal to close mosques should also be considered, Azra Fazl Pechuhu was quoted as saying during the NCC meeting.
The decision was taken after consultation with the clerics during a meeting with President Arif Alvi via video conference, said Noor ul Haq Qadri.
Mosques adjacent to the shrines would only remain open during the prayer timings, said a coronavirus advisory issued from the provincial government.
