Sharif’s disqualification: ECP expected to announce schedule for holding by-polls

LAHORE: After the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif from his Prime Minister post, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is expected to announce schedule for holding by-polls on NA-120 (Lahore) by next week, sources said.  The seat for National Assembly has been left vacant after the de-notification of Sharif. The by-election is likely to be held in the second week of September as the ECP is enforced to hold by-election in a constituency within 60 days after any legislature seat left vacant, sources further said.…
