ISLAMABAD: The government's efforts to cool political tensions in the country are underway as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is holding meetings with the delegations of political parties in Islamabad, ARY News reported on Thursday.

Hendry Masih laid to rest in Mastung

MASTUNG: Hendry Masih, slain minorities minister in Balochistan Assembly from National Party, has been laid to rest in Mastung, ARY News reports. He was buried in a christian graveyard of the city. Hendry Masih's last rites were attended by his loved ones and members of the National Party. The National Party's minister was gunned down by his bodyguard. He succumbed to his injuries in a hospital. On the other hand, the killer is under police custody after six day physical remand.

Balochistan minorities MPA Hendry Masih shot dead

QUETTA: A National Party member of the Balochistan Assembly Hendry Masih was shot dead in Quetta on Saturday, ARY News reported. Hendry Masih, a minority representative, was attacked in front of his residence in Quetta. Balochistan government's spokesman Jan Mohammad Buledi has confirmed the incident. He said Masih was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries. According to reports the lawmaker was shot by his security guard who has been detained by the police.
