Haroon Bilour’s wife to contest election from PK-78

PESHAWAR: Wife of slain Awami National Party (ANP) leader Haroon Bilour has announced to contest the elections in her husband's place from PK-78 constituency of Peshawar. On Tuesday, Haroon lost his life amongst 22 in a suicide bombing attack when he was addressing a party meeting in Peshawar. ECP postpones election in PK-78 after Peshawar blast

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday postponed election on a provincial assembly seat in Peshawar, PK-78, after a suicide blast in the provincial capital’s Yakatoot area that killed at least 21 people, including a candidate who was to contest from the constituency, ARY News reported.  According to the Commission, the election in PK-78 (Peshawar-13) will be held later along with by-elections which will take place after the general elections scheduled on July 25.
