The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has allowed the private hospitals to purchase Tocilizumab Injection to treat the critically-ill patients of coronavirus.

Private hospitals would be allowed to setup isolation wards after approval from the Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC), said Murtaza Wahab.

Murad Saeed suspected that the Sindh government's agreement with five hospitals was apparently an attempt to misuse public funds in the name of COVID-19.

The draft of the agreement will be dispatched to the Chief Minister of Sindh and after his approval it will be signed with the private hospitals, sources said.

The spokesperson to Punjab's healthcare commission said that the provincial authorities have expanded the provision of facilities to the citizens affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

The drug inspector said all the pharmacies would be kept open in emergency situation near LoC.
