Qasim Suri born in the famous Pakhtun tribe named ‘suri’ in January 1969. After completion of his early education for his birth town Quetta Suri went to the university of Balochistan where he completed his graduation degree in political sciences.

After completing his education Qasim Suri was joined his family business of pharmaceutical and worked there for a long period although he was associated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) since 1996.

He also has the honor to twice got elected as the PTI President for Balochistan. Later Suri was given the party ticket to contest for the general election 2013 which he was unable to succeed.

Suri contested for the seat in general elections 2018 and got elected as the member for national assembly. Qasim Suri was chosen as the deputy speaker in the national assembly and also the vice president of the board of governors of the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Monday named Qasim Suri as its nominee for the post of National Assembly deputy speaker.
