Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a leading Pakistani singer who is very popular around the subcontinent.

His terrific singing quality stunned anyone very easily. Fateh Ali Khan predominately used to sing devoted Muslim Sufis music in early his career. He is considered as one of the best playback singers in the Bollywood and Lollywood industry. The singer also belongs to Qawwali and ghazals.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was born on December 3, 1973, in Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is the son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan, Nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and grandson of singer Fateh Ali Khan.

Fateh Ali was born in a traditional music loving family most of the male members are associated with music.

Being inspired by the musician family member, he came to the music industry and leads the industry by his mind blowing voice. Rahat took a lesson on music from his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

The singer made his playback debut with the Bollywood movie ‘Paap’ for the song ‘Mann Ki Lagan’ in 2003. With his uncle, Rahat worked for the American rock band, Pearl Jam.

He was the judge for the music show ‘Chhote Ustaad 2’ alongside Sonu Nigam. The singer was invited as a first Pakistani singer to 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, to perform its concert.

LHC issues stay order against FBR for freezing Rahat Fateh’s bank accounts

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday issued a stay order against the Federal Board of Revenue for freezing the banks accounts and transactions of renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Justice Shahid Jamil heard the case where the singer's counsel informed the court that the FBR had acted illegal to seize the accounts of Rahat Fateh over non-payment of income tax and alleged tax evasion. FBR freezes singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s bank accounts

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday decided to freeze the bank accounts of renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan due to non-payment of taxes. The singer was reportedlty liable to pay income tax of Rs 33 Lakthousandusands in 2015, after the FBR took action against concealed bank transactions. However, Rahat was hesitant to contact the tax authorities or file his tax returns.
